Our Commitment to Privacy

PodBoi is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe your podcast listening habits are personal and should remain private.

Data Collection

Specifically:

• We do not collect your listening history
• We do not track what podcasts you subscribe to
• We do not collect analytics or usage data
• We do not use third-party tracking services
• We do not sell or share any information about you
• We have no servers and cannot access your data

Data Storage

All podcast subscriptions, episode data, playback positions, and app settings are stored locally on your device:

• Your data remains entirely under your control
• We have no access to your data at any time
• Your data is only included in your personal device backups (iCloud or iTunes) if you have those enabled in iOS Settings

Optional iCloud Backup

PodBoi offers an optional in-app backup feature that allows you to back up your app data to your personal iCloud account:

• This feature is entirely optional
• Backups are stored in your personal iCloud
• We cannot see, access, or retrieve your backup data
• You can delete your iCloud backup at any time from within the app
• Audio files are never backed up—only subscriptions, playback positions, and custom podcast settings

When you restore from an iCloud backup, the data comes directly from your iCloud account to your device. We are not involved in this process.

Network Connections

PodBoi connects to the internet only to:

• Search and browse the Apple Podcasts Directory to help you find new podcasts
• Download podcast feeds directly from podcast publishers
• Download podcast artwork directly from podcast publishers
• Download podcast episodes directly from podcast publishers
• Sync backup data with your personal iCloud account (only if you enable the optional backup feature)

These connections are made directly between your device and the respective services (Apple for directory search and iCloud backup, and podcast publishers for feeds and content). We do not intercept, monitor, or store any of this data.

Third-Party Services

PodBoi uses FeedKit, an open-source library for parsing RSS feeds. FeedKit operates entirely on your device and does not transmit data to any third parties.

If you enable iCloud backup, your backup data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy. Apple provides end-to-end encryption for iCloud data.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this policy and notify users through the app.
